CLASSROOMS
The classroom is a pulsating space with an excitement that is reflected in all the activities of Delhi Public School, Bilaspur. Careful thought has been applied for the construction of the classrooms which are spacious, ventilated and allow plenty of natural light thus keeping the atmosphere fresh and making them ideal for concentrated learning. Delhi Public School, Bilaspur consists of three blocks. In totality, the school boasts of 76 classrooms, each having between 30 - 40 students. Each class from 1st to 12th has 4-6 sections. In addition we also have 4 Prep Classes, 3 Nursery Classes and 2 Pre-Nursery Classes. Since Pre-School is child’s introduction to the world of education, it must be an environment where they experience the fun of learning. Hence, the Pre-Nursery classes are held in gaiety and creatively decorated classrooms. Children in the Nursery Kingdom also learn with joy and enthusiasm every day in their carefully planned curriculum.
DIGITAL CLASSROOMS
DPS Bilaspur has brought in digital revolution in its 15 classrooms. Teaching and learning has indeed become very interesting and effective due to implementation of SMART CLASS in its classrooms. School has tied up with Educomp Solutions, India’s largest digital education company. “Educomp Smart Class” is a technology oriented initiative for schools which provides tools and content for interactive self-paced learning by students, as well as rich-media presentations for teacher-led classroom learning. The content available consists of pedagogically sound and visually rich curriculum resources mapped and customized as per the school’s scheme of work. This content can be streamed into the classroom and shown by teachers in the classroom to make abstract concepts real. Teachers include their own learning modules for the students. The optional SAS engine available with smart-class supports creation and management of question bank and e-Tests. With this tool, teachers are able to create multiple choice questions, deliver them to students and assess them quickly.
